
Coos County, Oregon, became the scene of a tragic accident this past Saturday morning, according to a statement from the Oregon State Police. At around 10:44 a.m., a collision occurred on Highway 42, near milepost 27, involving two vehicles. The report released early yesterday details that a Chevrolet 1500, driven by Heather Renee Leach, age 37, of Reedsport, was heading east when it lost control and moved into the opposite lane, resulting in a direct impact with a westbound Ford F-350.
The operator of the Chevrolet, identified as Leach, was pronounced dead at the crash site. Meanwhile, the driver of the Ford, Nicholas Glenn Taylor, 56, from Grants Pass, and a passenger, Holly Helene Taylor, 53, also of Grants Pass, sustained injuries. They were quickly to be transported to a local hospital for medical attention.
