
One person died and another was seriously injured in a crash in Nye County, northwest of Las Vegas. The crash happened around 12:27 a.m. on the northbound lanes of U.S. 95, as reported by FOX5 Vegas.
Two SUVs were involved in a crash near mile marker 15 on U.S. 95. The Nevada Highway Patrol closed the highway in both directions for several hours during the investigation. The Nevada Department of Transportation said the road reopened shortly before 7:30 a.m., according to 8 News Now. The cause of the crash and the identities of those involved have not been released.
The Nevada Highway Patrol is continuing to investigate the cause of the crash. Both SUVs were heavily damaged, and the collision temporarily closed the affected section of U.S. 95. The highway has since reopened, and traffic has returned to normal.
