A multi-vehicle crash early Friday on I-10 East near Waco Street caused major traffic delays and left lanes closed. Click2Houston reported the incident began around 5:57 a.m. when a car went airborne and triggered a chain-reaction crash that killed one person.
The crash stopped westbound traffic and forced drivers to find other routes. According to KHOU, Houston Police said one person died and two others were seriously injured and taken to Ben Taub Hospital, while investigators worked to determine what happened.
Several crashes caused major traffic delays in Houston on Friday morning, including a truck crash on SH-225 at Beltway 8 East and a two-vehicle crash on the IH-610 East Loop at Clinton Drive, as per Click2Houston. Delays were expected to continue during cleanup.
