FC Dallas and Toyota declared a renewed partnership yesterday, announcing an extension to their agreement for naming rights and presenting sponsorship for Toyota Stadium and Toyota Soccer Center. The multi-year renewal underscores a continued commitment to the North Texas community and the progression of Toyota Stadium as a major hub for sports and entertainment in the area. Toyota Stadium, having opened back in 2005 and become a fixture in North Texas for various events including soccer, college and high school football, concerts, and international competitions, is currently undergoing a $182 million renovation designed to enhance the fan experience, as per the City of Frisco.

Dan Hunt, President of FC Dallas, expressed his excitement over the renewal, "We’re thrilled to extend our long-term relationship with Gulf States Toyota and Toyota Motor North America" and added that Toyota has been an instrumental partner whose alignment with their brand is invaluable moving forward he was proud, especially with the growth of soccer in the United States. The partnership began in 2013 and both Toyota and FC Dallas have launched several initiatives such as youth soccer programs, sustainability efforts, and community outreaches since their original agreement, as cited by the City of Frisco.

Toyota’s enthusiasm was mirrored by David Christ, Group Vice President of the Toyota Division, who told the City of Frisco, "Toyota Stadium has been home to many wonderful memories for our community, and the updates to the stadium will only further cement it as a world-class venue." The renovations endorsed by the Frisco City Council consist of the addition of approximately 3,400 new seats, a new east-side canopy for shade and weather protection, expansion of club and suite spaces, and improvements to broadcast and media facilities.
