Residents and commuters in Folsom need to mark their calendars for an upcoming road closure. The City of Folsom has announced that Iron Point Road will be closed between East Bidwell Street and Cavitt Drive beginning at 9 p.m. on November 2 until November 7. This closure is part of the ongoing Folsom Water Infrastructure Project that aims to bolster the city’s water service reliability.
The temporary inconvenience is a necessary step for crews to install a new water pipeline across the road. According to the city's announcement, having the stretch of Iron Point Road closed for five days, 24 hours a day, will allow the construction to be completed both safely and efficiently.
