Residents and high school football fans in Folsom are gearing up to show their Bulldog pride as the annual Folsom High School Homecoming Parade kicks off today. The Folsom Police Department has issued a community reminder that festivities will begin at 6:30 p.m., bringing together students, alumni, and residents to celebrate school spirit and cheer on the Bulldogs.
As an integral part of the parade experience, certain streets will be off-limits for regular traffic which includes Coloma St, Sutter Street, Reading Street, Leidesdorff Street, these road closures are scheduled during the critical window between 6:00 PM to an extent of 7:30 PM, so it's recommended for those commuting or living in the area to plan accordingly. The department appreciates the public's cooperation and participation.
The police department's social media post serves as both an invitation and an advisory, ensuring that while the parade is a focal gathering point for those within and around the Folsom High School orbit, it does not create unnecessary traffic convolutions for others, "The Folsom High School Homecoming Parade is happening Wednesday, October 15 at 6:30 PM! 🏈 🎉," the department shared, "Come out and support the Bulldogs as they celebrate school spirit with this fun annual event!"
