The city’s Parks & Recreation Department is inviting the community to the unveiling of the final design for Kids Play/Castle Park. The design reflects months of collaboration, shaped by input from two public outreach meetings and refined by the design review committee into a blueprint for a fun, community-driven space.
Though the design process was highly collaborative, the upcoming event won’t include a public feedback session. With community input already woven into the plan, this gathering is focused on unveiling the final product. According to the official announcement by the city, "This event celebrates the completion of the design process. All community feedback has been gathered and incorporated into the final plans. "
The unveiling is set for Tuesday, October 29, at 6 p.m. in the Multipurpose Room at Oak Chan Elementary School, just steps away from the future park site at 101 Prewett Drive. The final design presentation will take center stage at 6:15 p.m., giving attendees a first look at what’s to come.
