The Foo Fighters will perform at Detroit's Ford Field on August 6, 2026, in what will be their largest show in Michigan to date. Presale tickets will be available starting on October 31 at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster, according to The Detroit News.
The band released a 15-second teaser that was shared by Live Nation Michigan on social media, as reported by Economic Times. The Ford Field show is part of a 12-date North American stadium tour that will begin in Toronto and end in Las Vegas on September 26.
Dave Grohl’s ensemble — joined by Queens of the Stone Age and Mannequin Pussy — is set to return to Detroit next August for the first time since 2018, reuniting Grohl with Queens whose album “Songs for the Deaf,” he once drummed on, as mentioned by Live Mint. The Foo Fighters also teased a new single, “Asking for a Friend,” marking a major stage comeback after years of pandemic-era silence, as per The Detroit News.
Grohl said the return is about “to reconnecting with our amazing fans and blasting them with everything we’ve got (no matter the size of the venue) because we would not be here without them, we have the most solid core. And the sun is finally rising over the horizon,” and added that “‘Asking for a Friend’ is a song for those who have waited patiently in the cold, relying on hope and faith for their horizon to appear. Searching for ‘proof’ when hanging by a wish until the sun shines again,” as stated by Live Mint.
