Fort Collins residents with outstanding warrants for minor offenses have an opportunity to clear their records and receive resources. The Fall Warrant Clearance and Community Resource Event is returning to the Larimer County Justice Center at 201 Laporte Ave. It's scheduled for Saturday, November 15th, between the hours of 9:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Notably, those who attend to clear warrants will not face criminal arrests, according to Larimer County.
In the past two years, the event has successfully navigated over 300 open warrants towards closure, reintegrating hundreds into the criminal justice system. This initiative is a collaboration between multiple legal entities, including the 8th Judicial District Attorney’s Office and the Fort Collins Municipal Court. Eligibility for warrant clearance extends to a range of offenses from misdemeanor and petty drug charges to Class 5 and 6 felonies, with certain restrictions applied to more serious charges such as domestic violence or sex offenses.
