The Town of Fountain Hills is spicing things up this fall with a fresh downtown concert series that promises to spread the joy of live music throughout the community. Hosted at the Centennial Pavilion, adjacent to the Community Center at 13001 N. La Montana Drive, the concert series is free of charge and open to anyone looking to enjoy good music and a lively atmosphere. The shows are scheduled for the third Thursday of each month, running from November through April, between 6:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

The Economic Development Director of Fountain Hills, Amanda Jacobs, expressed excitement about the initiative. "We’re thrilled to bring live music to the heart of Fountain Hills," Jacobs said. "It’s a great way for our residents, businesses, and visitors to come together. Bring your chairs, blankets, and best dance moves!" This sentiment highlights the series's intention to strengthen community ties and create a hub for cultural engagement in the downtown area.

The concert lineup is diverse, catering to a wide range of musical tastes. Kicking off on November 20th is the Phoenix-born R&B/Soul ensemble New Destiny, reputed for their energetic live performances that meld old-school funk with a contemporary flair. December features the Sugar Thieves, a group that masterfully blends blues with Americana, while January sees Tiny House of Funk taking the stage with their signature blend of R&B, Blues, and Soul. February’s show will star Barnaby and the Butcher's alt-country and Americana sounds, followed by Znora's rock and blues energy in March, culminating with bluegrass and folk from Cisco and The Racecars in April. Each band brings a unique sound that's sure to resonate with audiences.

Encouraging visitors to make it a full evening experience, local businesses are offering special deals to concertgoers. Graze Craze prepares a special charcuterie cup for $15, perfect for a pre-concert appetizer. After the show, Snowbird Ice Cream Co. is the go-to spot for a post-concert cool down, offering an ice cream flight that boasts 12 scoops for $12.95. Downtown Fountain Hills isn't just limited to musical enjoyment. It features four distinct districts, each with its own array of restaurants, art, and attractions, such as the future International Dark Sky Discovery Center, slated to enrich the Civic District's current offerings. The full roster of acts and additional event details are available on the town's official website, with a dedicated page for the concert series found at experiencefountainhills.org/events.

This newfound musical tradition is a partnership between the Town of Fountain Hills and Art State Arizona, reflecting a growing trend of communities leveraging the arts to enhance local business and cultural vitality. So, for those looking to enjoy a spirited blend of music and community this fall, Fountain Hills' latest venture may just be the perfect evening outing.
