Local entrepreneurs aiming to shift their business gears from startup to growth now have a chance to learn how, thanks to a new partnership between the Florida Small Business Development Center at Florida Gulf Coast University and the Charlotte County Economic Development Office. They're rolling out a no-cost workshop, aptly titled "Scaling Your Business," slated for Oct. 14, from 12-1:30 p.m. at the county's economic hub on Murdock Circle.
The workshop's focus is to equip business owners with strategies aimed at expanding their operations sustainably. In a nuts-and-bolts approach, attendees can expect to dive into topics on how to increase revenue without a proportional rise in costs, optimizing their processes for efficiency, bolting down on leadership skills, and digging up new market possibilities. It's not just talk; participants will be hands-on, piecing together blueprints for their own growth campaigns.
Providing some insight into the workshop's benefits, Kay Tracy, director of the Charlotte County Economic Development Office, emphasized the local impact. "This partnership with the SBDC at FGCU reflects our commitment to supporting the local business community," said Tracy in a statement obtained by the Charlotte County website. She added, "Workshops like this give business owners practical tools and confidence to expand strategically, which strengthens both their companies and our local economy."
Given the hands-on nature of the event and limited space, those interested are encouraged to act quickly. Registering is as easy as clicking through to their event page.
