The National Weather Service (NWS) in Milwaukee/Sullivan has issued a Freeze Warning in effect until 9 a.m. CDT, with temperatures dropping as low as 26 degrees. The National Weather Service Freeze Warning covers east central, south central, and southeast Wisconsin, where sub-freezing conditions may damage crops, sensitive vegetation, and unprotected outdoor plumbing.
According to the National Weather Service, skies are mostly clear with light northwest winds around 5 mph and humidity at 82%. Frost is expected to linger before 8 a.m., followed by sunny conditions and a high near 51 degrees. Tonight’s forecast calls for partly cloudy skies with a low around 38 degrees.
The National Weather Service expects mild weather to continue through the week, with temperatures in the 50s and a 30 percent chance of showers beginning Monday night. No hazardous weather is expected at this time.
The National Weather Service advises residents to protect tender plants from the cold during the early morning hours.
