Tyler Dionysius Englin, a 26-year-old from Garner, was arrested after an investigation by the state's Department of Insurance revealed the misappropriation of funds.

The Department of Insurance's Criminal Investigations Division alleges that Englin, the owner of TDE Claims LLC, was entrusted with an insurance claim payment for a Catawba County client he did not transfer it, instead the money amounted to $133,097.26 was allegedly embezzled; Englin was arrested on Oct. 30 in Johnston County and is being held on a $150,000 secured bond, according to the North Carolina Department of Insurance announcement.

The arrest marks a point in an ongoing inquiry into Englin and his company, which has been under scrutiny after multiple complaints were filed against them. In a statement, Commissioner Causey emphasized the importance of the public's role in uncovering such fraud, "I urge people to report suspicious activity like this so our special agents can pursue cases against those who commit fraud and other white-collar crimes," as per NCDOI.
