The Sunbelt Ag Expo has set its sights on Georgia for the 2025 iteration of its renowned agricultural showcase, according to an announcement made earlier today by Georgia Agriculture Commissioner Tyler J. Harper. From now until Thursday, the event will be hosted in Moultrie, Georgia, with the Peach State playing a pivotal role as this year's Spotlight State. As reported by the Georgia Department of Agriculture, the expo will cast attention on Georgia's 67,000 producers who have established agriculture as the state’s foremost industry.
In his announcement released by the Department of Agriculture, Harper reiterated the state's deep roots in agricultural production, underscoring its standing as a national leader for peanuts, broilers, and pecans. The selection of Georgia as the Spotlight State is a nod to its contribution and influence in these sectors. "Georgia plays a critical role in American agriculture," Harper said, a sentiment that reflects the state's continued dedication to fostering growth in the agricultural space.
As attendees gather to explore the agricultural advancements and machinery on display, they will also be privy to the spectrum of Georgia’s agricultural contributions. The Sunbelt Ag Expo is known for its sprawling exhibition of cutting-edge farming equipment, live demonstrations, and educational forums, all geared towards promoting innovation and growth in the southeastern United States' agricultural community.
