GoRaleigh will offer a shuttle service to the NC State Fair this month to help visitors avoid parking difficulties. The GoRaleigh State Fair Shuttle will operate from Thursday next week to October 26, providing round-trip transportation between Garner Station Blvd., behind Goodberry’s at 1407 Garner Station Blvd., Raleigh, and Gate 1 of the fairgrounds.
According to the City of Raleigh website, shuttles will depart every 30 minutes beginning at 8:30 a.m. and continue until the fair closes each day. The round-trip fare is $5, and a one-way trip is $4. Seniors aged 65 and over and individuals with disabilities can ride at reduced fares of $2.50 round-trip or $2 one-way. Children under 40 inches tall may ride free.
Passengers may pay with cash or through the UMO app. Advance passes, available since October 2, can be purchased through the UMO app or at the GoRaleigh operations facility at 4104 Poole Road and GoRaleigh Station in downtown Raleigh. Parking for shuttle riders is located behind Goodberry’s, marked by park-and-ride signs.
