According to the press release from Governor Abbott's office, Morgan comes from Georgetown and wields substantial influence as an attorney with Erben & Yarbrough. She has also lent her expertise to several influential offices in the state, namely the Office of the Governor, the Office of the Attorney General, and the Railroad Commission of Texas, not to mention her service with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality. Morgan's extensive background in legal and regulatory arenas positions her as a prime candidate for steering the Water Development Board's mission.
Morgan's qualifications extend beyond her professional career, highlighting her role in the community and her commitment to public service. A member of the State Bar of Texas and serving on the UT System Chancellor’s Council Executive Committee, Morgan also dedicates time as a docent for the Governor’s Mansion, reaffirming her rootedness in Texas tradition and governance. Her academic credentials include a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Political Science from Stephen F. Austin State University followed by earning a Juris Doctor from The University of Texas School of Law, equipping her with a strong foundation for her role on the board.
