
Judco Manufacturing, Inc. will open its headquarters and an R&D facility in Snow Hill, Greene County, creating 60 jobs and investing over $5.3 million. Kurt George, President and CEO of Judco Manufacturing, said, “North Carolina offers the right combination of workforce, infrastructure, and business climate to help us innovate and stay competitive in a rapidly changing automotive market,” according to the North Carolina Office of the Governor.
The 50,000-square-foot facility will include corporate, engineering, and production operations, with average wages of $44,001, adding about $2.6 million to the local payroll. The One North Carolina Fund is providing a $125,000 performance-based grant, with local government support, based on meeting job creation and investment targets, as reported by the North Carolina Office of the Governor.
Senator Buck Newton said, “North Carolina’s pro-growth and low tax policies along with our highly skilled and motivated workforce are paying off for Eastern North Carolina.” Representative Chris Humphrey welcomed the jobs and investment. Judco Manufacturing will open in Greene County with support from the North Carolina Department of Commerce, the Economic Development Partnership of North Carolina, the North Carolina General Assembly, the North Carolina Community College System, the North Carolina Global TransPark Economic Development Region, and Duke Energy, as stated by the North Carolina Office of the Governor.
