A traffic stop on the 13500 block of Kuykendahl Road in north Harris County on Friday led to a foot chase when a passenger fled the vehicle. Constable Mark Herman’s Office stated, “Once the vehicle stopped, a passenger exited and ran from the vehicle, refusing to stop,” as reported by the Harris County Constable Precinct 4.
Deputies quickly apprehended the suspect after a brief pursuit, as mentioned by the Harris County Constable Precinct 4. The individual initially gave false identifying information before their identity was confirmed during the investigation.
Kenneth Banegas was identified and later detained after allegedly fleeing on foot and giving a false name to officers. According to the Harris County Constable Precinct 4 on their Facebook page, "Kenneth Banegas was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Evading Arrest on Foot and Failure to Identify." His bond was set at $200. The constable’s office shared the update on social media and urged residents to download the "C4 NOW" app for crime, arrest, and safety updates.
