Two individuals prompted a police pursuit on Stonefield Drive on Wednesday following reports of an attempted break-in at a vacant apartment. Deputies responding to the 13100 block found the reported rifle was a realistic BB gun, as reported by the Harris County Constable Precinct 4.
Cedric Augustine, wanted for Criminal Trespass in Harris County, and a juvenile were apprehended following a short chase. The minor was released to guardians, while Augustine faced additional charges for fleeing deputies on foot, as stated by the Harris County Constable Precinct 4.
"Cedric Augustine was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail for Evading on Foot and the outstanding warrant. His bond was set at $100.00 out of County Court 6," according to the Harris County Constable Precinct 4 on their Facebook page. The Constable’s Office advised residents to stay informed about local incidents through the precinct’s Facebook page and the "C4 NOW" mobile app, which provides live crime updates, safety information, and traffic reports.
