On Wednesday, Harris County deputies investigated a suspicious vehicle behind an abandoned building on the 5800 block of FM 1960 Road East, leading to the detention of two men. Desmond Jones was found with a stolen firearm and 0.67 grams of methamphetamine, while Justin Tunstall had 1.96 grams of the same drug, as reported by the Harris County Constable Precinct 4.
Further investigation revealed that Jones was responsible for stealing the firearm. Both men were arrested, with Tunstall having a prior felony record, and charges were filed related to the stolen weapon and controlled substances, as stated by the Harris County Constable Precinct 4.
Two men were arrested and processed at the Harris County Jail on drug and firearm-related charges. "Desmond Jones was charged with Theft of Firearm and Possession of a Controlled Substance. His total bond was set at $6,000.00 out of the 487th District Court. Justin Tunstall was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance. His bond has not been set at this time out of the 487th District Court," according to the Harris County Constable Precinct 4 on their Facebook page. Precinct 4 urged residents to stay updated on local crime by following their social media pages and using the "C4 NOW" app for live feeds on crime, arrests, safety tips, and traffic incidents.
