A Harris County deputy conducted a traffic stop last Thursday after observing a vehicle being driven erratically with a passenger hanging out of the door. The driver, identified as Giovan Fernandez, showed signs of intoxication, and the passenger was also under the influence, as reported by the Harris County Constable Precinct 4.
Three juveniles were found inside the vehicle during the stop. Fernandez allegedly threatened deputies, leading to additional Retaliation charges filed by the Harris County District Attorney’s Office, as stated by the Harris County Constable Precinct 4.
"Giovan Fernandez was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Driving While Intoxicated with a Child Passenger and Retaliation," with a total bond of $12,500 set by the 497th District Court. According to the Harris County Constable Precinct 4 on their Facebook page, the office shared the update and advised residents to follow their posts there and through the new "C4 NOW" mobile app, which provides live crime, arrest, safety, and traffic information for Harris County.
