The Henderson Police Department will partner with the DEA this Saturday for National Drug Take Back Day, providing residents a safe way to dispose of unwanted medications. The event will be held at the Police Central Substation, 300 S. Green Valley Parkway in Henderson, Nevada, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The service is free and open to the public.
According to the Henderson Police Department’s Facebook post, the program aims to help residents safely discard old or unused prescription medications. Participants can drop off items anonymously.
The DEA also offers information on proper medication disposal methods through DEATakeBack.com, as per the City of Henderson. The event, scheduled for Saturday, supports efforts to reduce prescription drug misuse and accidental exposure by removing unneeded medications from homes.
