Hernando County Fire Rescue offers a Car Seat Safety Program to assist parents and guardians in properly securing children in vehicles. The program includes certified car seat technicians who can inspect installations and provide replacements if needed. It is part of the county’s efforts to reduce child injuries in traffic accidents.
Hernando County Fire Rescue recently shared information about the program on their social media post. The department’s Facebook post stated, “Hernando County Fire Rescue offers a Car Seat Safety Program!" And added, "Our certified car seat technicians can help ensure your child’s car seat is properly installed. If you need a replacement we can help provide one for you.”
Residents can contact the Community Paramedicine Team to schedule a car seat inspection or request a replacement seat. Services can be arranged by calling 352-540-0799.
