
Authorities are currently investigating a shooting incident that occurred on the afternoon of October 28 at a residence in Hesperia, after an argument about a vehicle turned violent, resulting in one person being shot. At approximately 4:03 p.m., deputies from the Hesperia Sheriff's Station were dispatched to the 9200 block of Espada Avenue after reports of gunfire.
Upon arrival, they found 58-year-old John Huddleston in the front yard of his home, with a non-fatal gunshot wound to his leg. Preliminary findings suggest that four individuals arrived at Huddleston's property to discuss a vehicle-related issue. The discussion quickly escalated to become physically violent in the garage, where Huddleston was eventually shot. Despite the chaos, deputies were able to transport Huddleston to a local trauma center; he was later released.
The suspects in this case remain unidentified, and investigators are urging the public to come forward with any information that could lead to their apprehension. In a statement obtained by the San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner Department, Detective T. Loup called for community assistance, stressing the importance of any detail that could help in solving the violent dispute.
