Todd Michael Luark, 53, died on Sunday evening after he was hit by a vehicle while riding his bicycle in Highland Township. The crash happened on Milford Road near Rowe Road shortly before 7:30 p.m. and is under investigation, according to ClickOnDetroit.
Luark was riding his bicycle south when a 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee crossed the white line at the side of the road and hit him, the Oakland County Sheriff's Office said. First responders tried to save him after finding him unconscious in a nearby driveway, but he was pronounced dead at the scene, as reported by CBS News Detroit.
CBS News Detroit said an autopsy is scheduled on Monday. The Oakland County Sheriff's Office Crash Reconstruction Unit is reviewing the crash to determine the cause as the investigation continues.
