
Hillsborough County Fire Rescue has begun construction on a new facility, Fire Station 47, which will serve areas including North Sun City Center, North Wimauma, and parts of Ruskin. A social media post noted that local leaders and community members attended the groundbreaking ceremony. The post indicated that the new station aims to improve response times and support continued emergency services in the area.
Amid growth in the southern regions of Hillsborough County, plans for Station 47 are designed to provide resources for the increasing population and support local infrastructure. Hillsborough County Fire Rescue stated, “This new, state-of-the-art station will help us continue to meet the growing needs of our community, improve response times, and ensure that our residents receive the high level of service they deserve.”
Fire Station 47, called a symbol of progress, preparedness, and commitment by Hillsborough County Fire Rescue. The station will have firefighters on duty and support from county leaders, serving the nearby neighborhoods once it is finished.
