On Tuesday, after a month-long investigation into illegal drug activities in Holyoke, a coordinated effort between the Holyoke Police Narcotics Bureau and the Drug Enforcement Administration's Springfield Resident Office resulted in two arrests. According to a post by the Holyoke Police Department's Facebookpage, the arrests took place following surveillance at a local convenience store located at 96 Maple Street.

The law enforcement officers were keeping tabs on the store when they observed Jeffrey Cintron, aged 45 from Springfield, leaving and getting into a vehicle which then sped away. After pulling over the car near 484 Maple Street, approximately 12 bags of cocaine, five fentanyl pills, and a sum of cash were discovered. Jeffrey Cintron now faces multiple drug-related charges including distribution and possession, as well as a traffic violation for speeding, as reported by the Holyoke Police Department.

Subsequently, at around 2:30 p.m., the police in conjunction with the DEA entered the convenience store, leading to the arrest of 61-year-old Juan Jimenez-Gomez from Holyoke. The arrest revealed several bundles of heroin, a bag of cocaine, and $1923 in cash found inside his man-purse. Jimenez-Gomez is being charged with possession with the intent to distribute both Class A and Class B drugs, among other charges, as detailed by the Holyoke Police Department.

The names of the accused and their respective charges were listed in the official statement, providing a transparent overview of the operation's outcome. While Cintron is being charged with distribution of a class A drug, possession with the intent to distribute a class B drug, and traffic violation for speeding, Jimenez-Gomez faces a similar set of drug possession and distribution charges, as perthe Holyoke Police Department.
