On a routine patrol yesterday, deputies with Constable Mark Herman's Office pulled over Guillermo Mendoza after suspecting him of driving under the influence. The stop occurred on the 4700 block of Champions Landing Drive, where officers observed Mendoza displaying multiple signs that suggested intoxication. A sobriety test confirmed their suspicions.
It was revealed that Mendoza's blood alcohol level registered at an alarming 0.268, more than three times the legal limit. According to a social media post from Constable Mark Herman's Office, Mendoza has been down this road before, with a prior conviction for Driving While Intoxicated to his name, and now, another charge is being added to his rap sheet. "Guillermo Mendoza was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Driving While Intoxicated," Herman stated. The bond for Mendoza was set at $2,500.00 by County Court 9, indicating the legal response to a repeat offense.
