Houston authorities are investigating a fatal crash that occurred on the 5300 block of Spur 5 at about 8:15 a.m. on Monday, resulting in the death of a male driver. The driver of a maroon Kia Sorento veered off the road into a construction site and collided with a concrete wall at the end of an under-construction bridge, according to the City of Houston.
Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the victim dead at the scene. His identity has not yet been released, pending confirmation by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences, as reported by the City of Houston.
