
A man in his 40s died on Wednesday from injuries sustained in a hit-and-run collision on Hempstead Highway on October 3. His identity is pending confirmation by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences, according to the City of Houston.
The incident occurred near the 10500 block around 10:10 p.m. when he was struck by a gray Toyota Corolla whose driver fled the scene. Houston Police Department’s Vehicular Crimes Division, led by Sgt. F. Briones and Officer M. Lozano, investigated, and the victim remained hospitalized until his death, as reported by the City of Houston.
HPD detectives have identified a possible suspect believed to be driving the Corolla, but no charges have been filed. The department has not released the suspect’s identity or location and is asking anyone with information to contact the HPD Vehicular Crimes Division or Crime Stoppers, as stated by the City of Houston.
