Earlier today, gunfire was reported in Houston’s Fifth Ward, where a man believed to be in his 30s was found shot to death on Sydnor Street. As reported by Click2Houston, residents who heard the gunshots found the victim outside shortly before 1 a.m. and he was later declared dead at a nearby hospital, the Houston Police Department confirmed.
In connection with the same incident, ABC13 has identified the victim as a 33-year-old man, although his name has not been released to the public. The shooting occurred at an apartment complex on the 1000 block of Sydnor Street and the victim sustained at least one gunshot wound leading to his untimely death.
Authorities have not identified a suspect or established a motive for the shooting, and they continue to probe into the details surrounding the violent event, they ask any members of the community with potentially valuable information to contact either the HPD Homicide Division or make an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers, as noted by ABC13.
