
Houston authorities are investigating a fatal incident on North Interstate Highway 45. Around 10:35 p.m., a 55-year-old man was struck by a vehicle near the 1900 North Freeway and later died at a hospital, according to the City of Houston.
The driver, in a silver Chevrolet Malibu, attempted to avoid the pedestrian but could not prevent the collision. The Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences is working to identify the victim and notify his family, as reported by the City of Houston.
Sergeant D. Griffiths and D. Hoang of the HPD Vehicular Crimes Division reported that the driver involved in the North Freeway crash cooperated fully and remained at the scene, and after questioning, she was released as she "showed no signs of intoxication," as stated by the City of Houston. The Houston Police continue their investigation into the incident, examining the circumstances leading to the fatal crash.
