
Houston authorities are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Tuesday evening on Carmen Street. Police said a 36-year-old man was killed, and a 38-year-old man was critically injured during the incident, which happened around 6:35 p.m, according to the City of Houston’s official news release.
Investigators believe the suspect was involved in a physical altercation with the deceased man before firing shots. Houston Police Department Homicide Division Sergeant J. Gardner and Detective M. Providence responded to 5102 Carmen Street, where they found the 36-year-old victim in the kitchen. He was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics. The second victim was found near the living room and transported to a hospital in critical condition.
The Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences will release the deceased man’s name once family members are notified. Police have not released a suspect description or details about the motive.
