Houston police are investigating skeletal remains found on Tuesday afternoon at 1900 Ruiz Street, reported around 3:15 p.m. The remains were discovered in a portable restroom and their identification, including gender and cause of death, is pending autopsy results from the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences, according to the City of Houston.
HPD Homicide Detectives A. Garcia and G. Herrera are leading the investigation and confirmed with forensic officials that the remains are human, as reported by the City of Houston. Authorities continue to work on the case while awaiting definitive information from the autopsy reports.
