One suspect, Rodney Elliott Curtis, 21, has been arrested in connection with an aggravated robbery on May 11 at a Houston apartment complex parking lot. He faces a charge of aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon in the 176th State District Court, and his booking photo has been released, according to the Houston Police Robbery Division.
During the incident, Curtis was shot in the foot after a struggle with the victim, who tried to disarm him, while a second unidentified assailant shot the victim in the calf before fleeing. Curtis was later identified at a hospital after being dropped off by another unknown person, while the second suspect remains at large, as reported by the Houston Police Robbery Division.
Houston Police Robbery Division identified Curtis, issued a warrant on June 25, and arrested him on July 7; he is now in Harris County jail. The second suspect, nicknamed "JV," seen on surveillance video, is still being sought. The Houston Police ask anyone with information to come forward.
