Houston police are intensifying their search for a suspect in the fatal shooting of 54-year-old John Crockett on the 7900 block of Comal Street last Wednesday around 10:45 a.m. Detectives released surveillance photos showing the suspect wearing a blue shirt, blue pants, and black shoes, last seen riding a bicycle, according to the City of Houston.

Crockett was shot while inside his vehicle, and the suspect fled on foot, causing Crockett’s vehicle to crash into a telephone pole. Authorities are asking the public for help in identifying the individual responsible for this violent crime, as reported by the City of Houston.

Detectives C. Sharp, E. May, and D. Crowder from HPD's Homicide Division responded to a shooting where John Crockett was found with critical injuries inside his crashed vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene.
