
A routine traffic incident on Wednesday in the 100 block of N. Sam Houston Parkway West led to a felony arrest after deputies from Constable Mark Herman's Office discovered the at-fault driver had an active warrant. The driver, identified as Leonel Herrera, was wanted by the Harris County Sheriff’s Office for theft, as reported by the Harris County Constable Precinct 4.
“Leonel Herrera was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail for his open warrant. His bond was set at $5,000.00 out of the 209th District Court,” stated Constable Mark Herman in a Facebook post. The arrest turned a minor traffic mishap into a significant legal matter, as mentioned by the Harris County Constable Precinct 4.
According to the Harris County Constable Precinct 4 on their Facebook page, a traffic crash led to the arrest of a man identified as Herrera, who had an outstanding theft warrant. The Harris County Sheriff’s Office has not released additional details about the warrant or the theft case.
