Gregory Ford, a Houston-based traveling veterinarian, was arrested on charges of sexual battery involving a 16- to 17-year-old. The 52-year-old was arrested following an investigation by MCSO Major Crimes Detective Josue Rivera and the FBI, based on allegations first reported in Lauderdale County, Alabama, according to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office on their Facebook page.

Ford, known in the horse racing community, is accused of a sexual relationship with a minor that lasted about two years while traveling with her. The case began after the girl’s mother found explicit messages and reported it to authorities. Since Ford’s arrest in Marion County, where he is held without bond, more than a dozen other victims have come forward. Ford’s work as a traveling equine veterinarian may have given him access to minors. He is also accused of exchanging nude photos with the girl and expressing intent to marry her while already married.

Spencer Kuvin, Chief Legal Officer at GOLDLAW, is representing victims in the case against Ford. "According to the FBI, they're interviewing a number of potential victims, and there could be upwards of 13 to 15 other women," Kuvin told FOX26 Houston. Ford is accused of misconduct while presenting himself as a mentor in the equestrian community. His record appears clean. The Marion County Sheriff’s Office and FBI are asking anyone with information to come forward, and the investigation continues ahead of Ford's expected arraignment later this month.
