Houston's streets were marred yet again by a repeat offender's brush with impaired driving. According to a Facebook post from the Harris County Constable's Office Precinct 4, constables responded to a traffic hazard last Sunday in the 24400 block of Tomball Parkway. Here, deputies discovered Katherine Reyna, a woman with a history of drunk driving, passed out in her car, seemingly defying the lessons offered up by her past mistakes.
When deputies arrived, they were met with the unsettling scene of Reyna slumped over behind the wheel, a vehicle poised dangerously at the intersection. An empty beer can lay in testament to her indiscretions. Reyna, once aroused, was said to quickly display "strong signs of intoxication" and didn't shy from admitting her morning's indulgence in alcohol. It didn't take long for field sobriety tests to confirm the suspicions of the officers on scene.
A breath test administered revealed a blood alcohol concentration (BAC) of 0.183 and 0.181, putting Reyna well over twice the legal limit and thereby justifying her immediate arrest. "Katherine Reyna was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Driving While Intoxicated – BAC over 0.15," as reported by Constable Mark Herman's Office. Reyna's bond was set at $3,000.00 out of County Court 7.
This isn't the first time Reyna's been apprehended for driving under the influence.
