Their quick thinking allowed them to pull the compactor, the source of the fire, away from the structure, circumventing a potentially larger disaster. "Despite some smoke throughout the building, crews were able to pull the compactor away from the building and work to extinguish the contents inside," detailed a social media post from the Huntersville Fire Department. The precision of their response enabled them to reign in the fire, without broader damage to the warehouse.
