Suffolk County Police are searching for a man involved in a vandalism incident that damaged a marble and bronze clock valued at $1,500 outside a Huntington business. Surveillance footage released by authorities shows the individual knocking over and breaking the clock outside Stair’s Incurable Collector on September 27. According to ABC 7 New York, the item was not insured, and employees were in the process of attaching it to the building at the time of the incident.
Video footage shows the individual interacting with a timepiece mounted on a pole before it falls and breaks. As reported by News 12 Long Island, the video was made public nearly a month after the incident in an effort to generate public assistance in identifying and locating the person involved.
The Suffolk County Police have offered a cash reward for information leading to an arrest and are urging anyone with relevant details to come forward. Tips can be submitted anonymously by contacting Suffolk County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
