In a recent exposé of fraudulent medical practices, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) Special Investigation Section unveiled the arrest of 44-year-old Crystal Scott, who posed as a nurse to provide unauthorized medical care to students, according to a press release issued by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.

The investigation began after Clark County School District (CCSD) representatives reached out with concerns about inconsistency in medical orders at schools, intended for authorized nurses and students. Detectives found that Scott, an unlicensed individual, had been sending these orders without the doctors' consent, using the credentials of actual nurses. According to LVMPD, the so-called medical facility, dubbed "Glucose N Glow," where Scott conducted this activity, was also discovered to be unlicensed, adding to the gravity of her actions.

Scott, caught in the deceitful act of playing a healthcare provider, was arrested on October 1 and faces a litany of charges, including acts pertaining to impersonation of a nurse, filling false prescriptions for dangerous drugs, and putting minors at risk by furnishing them these substances. The CCSD discovered twelve students, ranging from 5 to 14, who fell under the care of Scott, and the parents have since been informed of the concerning situation.

The school district, now embroiled in this unfortunate scenario, is taking steps to rectify the harm inflicted by Scott's actions. Parents of the affected students have been contacted, and measures are being taken to provide them with legitimate care alternatives. This case stands as a stark reminder of the critical nature of verifying the legitimacy of healthcare providers to safeguard the well-being of our community's youths.
