Early this morning, the St. Cloud Police Department and local fire rescue services were summoned to Virginia Avenue, where a homeowner reported a black Kia ablaze. According to ClickOrlando, the vehicle, which was spotted with flames erupting from its engine compartment, yielded a grim discovery after the fire was extinguished: a body found inside.
Investigators are now tasked with the identification of the deceased and the origin story of the fire, now now-closed sections of Virginia Avenue providing evidence of their probing. No other information has been made available at this time.
As per WESH, officials are working with the Medical Examiner’s Office to identify the victim using what little remains after the intense fire.
