The City of Janesville Recreation Division is bringing back its Rec Nites for middle school students this November and December. The events are open to sixth, seventh, and eighth graders and will feature swimming, dancing, and various games. The first Rec Nite is scheduled for November 7, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Franklin Middle School, according to the City of Janesville’s official website.
Admission is $7 and includes access to the gym, table games, and prize raffles. Concessions will also be available for purchase. Students must present a valid school ID at check-in, and only those enrolled at the host school may attend. Home-schooled or parochial school students can register through the Recreation Division to select a participating location.
Parents and guardians are encouraged to volunteer as Rec Nite chaperones. Children of volunteers will receive free admission. Those interested in volunteering or learning more can contact the Recreation Division for additional details.
