Before snagging his latest title, he clocked in as Deputy General Manager for the district beginning in 2015, following gigs where he honed his chops in sales and marketing for big names like Doubletree by Hilton, Hilton Arden West, and Sheraton Grand Sacramento.
Megan Van Voorhis, City of Sacramento's director of Convention and Cultural Services, told the Sacramento City Express, "Jonathan’s combination of experience, vision, and leadership for the past 10 years with the City make him the right person to guide the District into its next chapter." She's banking on his proven track record to forge even tighter bonds with the community and partners while delivering a mix of events that'll draw both the out-of-towners and locals.
