League City’s Newport Park will temporarily close starting November 3 for a four-month renovation project. The improvements include new volleyball courts, a concrete trail around the park, upgraded playgrounds, more shaded areas, modern lighting, and enhancements to the soccer field.
The City of League City says the project aims to refresh the park’s infrastructure and add amenities for community use. Residents are advised to plan for the temporary closure and use alternative recreation areas during construction. The park is expected to reopen after the four-month renovation.
