Frequent fliers through Long Beach Airport (LGB) can now tick one more box off their pre-travel checklist with ease, as the airport rolls out its new online parking reservation system. The new service allows travelers to secure parking spaces before they even arrive, potentially cutting down on those all-too-familiar airport stresses. As detailed in a recent press release, visitors to lgb.org/parking can now pre-book their spots in advance, whether for Parking Structure A, at $30 per day, or the slightly cheaper Parking Structure B, costing $25 per day.
With this system in place, travelers bound for anywhere from distant shores to domestic locales can journey with a little less worry. "Long Beach Airport is known for delivering a first-class, easygoing travel experience, and with the launch of online parking reservations, that experience just got even easier," Mayor Rex Richardson said, as reported by longbeach.gov. The website's Parking and Directions page now includes a link to a reservation tool, which, upon booking, sends out a QR code to customers, negating the need for a paper ticket.
It seems LGB is dedicated to ironing out any potential wrinkles in a traveler's plans; reservations can be made up to a year in advance or as last-minute as one hour before arrival, and there's flexibility to cancel up to two hours beforehand. Although a convenience fee is tacked onto each reservation, the trade-off might be worth the guarantee of a parking space, especially during those peak travel periods when Parking Structure A might be off-limits for online reservations.
Airport Director Cynthia Guidry accentuated the value addition this system brings, stating, "The ease and affordability of our parking options stand out in the industry." She continued, affirming that with the deployment of the online reservation system, "an even more seamless journey from the moment passengers arrive at the Airport" was assured, as per an interview by longbeach.gov. The move to streamline parking reservations comes after LGB's recent launch of FlyMyAirport, a tool that simplifies searching for flights, booking rental cars, and even assembling vacation packages.
