The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department is currently on the hunt for Adva Lavie, a suspect involved in a string of residential burglaries targeting older men she met through dating apps and social media platforms. According to a report by NBC Los Angeles, Lavie allegedly portrayed herself as the men's girlfriend, gaining their trust before proceeding to burgle their homes.
Lavie, who may be using aliases such as Mia Ventura, Shoshana, or Shana, is believed to have been involved in thefts across Los Angeles County. She is described as being around 5-foot-7 and weighing 104 pounds, with brown hair and eyes. Notably, the suspect is linked to at least two luxury vehicles, a black Porsche SUV and a white Mercedes-Benz sedan, the ABC7 report details.
The authorities are urging additional victims or those with relevant information to come forward. In a call to action, the LA County Sheriff's Department, as mentioned in coverage by CBS Los Angeles, encourages anyone who believes they might have been a victim of Lavie's alleged schemes to contact Detective Lopez at the Lost Hills Station or LAPD Detective Marsh. The hope is that this outreach will aid in the investigation and potentially prevent further incidents.
Anyone with information regarding these cases or Adva Lavie's whereabouts is encouraged to reach out to authorities. Detective Lopez can be contacted at 818-878-1808, and Detective Marsh can be reached at 818-374-9500. As this investigation unfolds, the community remains alerted to the alleged exploitative tactics leveraged in these burglaries, serving as a cautionary tale for those engaging with strangers online.
