Similarly, Baltimore was home to another fortunate player who scored a $100,000 prize on a Double Your Money scratch-off ticket purchased at Harford Citgo on Harford Road.
Further adding to the lottery excitement, the Mega Millions jackpot has soared to a staggering $600 million, with a cash option of $277.2 million. And while the Mega Millions continues to make national headlines, local winners are claiming prizes of their own. A Towson resident recently nabbed a $20,000 windfall from an October 10 drawing, a ticket that was sold at a 7-Eleven on York Road and remains unclaimed, according to NottinghamMD.
In total, the Maryland Lottery has paid out more than $29 million in prizes from October 6 to October 12, with 29 tickets, each worth $10,000 or more, finding their way into the hands of lucky players. The Maryland Lottery anticipates an increase in interest and participation as jackpot amounts roll higher.
