Gerard Morris, a 48-year-old man, has been charged with first-degree murder following a shooting in South Baltimore, where 42-year-old Eugene Henry lost his life. As reported by Baltimore Witness, the shooting occurred last Thursday, in the 4100 block of Hyden Court, during the late morning hours.

Officers were called to the scene at approximately 10:26 a.m., and shortly after discovering the victim had been shot, law enforcement was able to apprehend Morris. Captured in the 800 block of Glade Court, Morris was charged with the crime and also faces handgun violations. After being taken to the hospital, the victim succumbed to the injuries and was pronounced dead, as confirmed by FOX Baltimore.

Since being apprehended, Morris has been taken to the Central Booking Intake Center.
